Coloring Books for Mommy: Alleviate Stress and Relax with Mandala Coloring Books

Yoga Gear from YogaDirect.com

Being a mom is probably one of the most stressful jobs in the world. Right now as I type this, I am surrounded by full laundry baskets, pillows and a chair so I can protect myself and my tablet screen from sticky little fingers. I have built a mom-fort so I can have just a few minutes of peace- just long enough to add another paragraph to this post today.
Mommies have SO much more to do that just changing diapers and fixing school lunches. We're maids, chefs, chauffeurs, wives, nurses, seamstresses, counselors - and on top of that many of us have jobs and even school as well! We can get stretched so thin and wound so tight every day and to keep from completely snapping, we need to just chill out.
When the kiddos have gone to school, or taking a nap or down for the night it's time for you to unwind and seek calm and free your mind .
A wonderful way to free your mind is with a good mandala coloring book.
Coloring book?
Yes!
A mandala is a sacred circle of intricate design used to help bring focus during meditation. You can clear your mind and find inner peace by just studying one. When you gently tap into you creativity and bring color to a blank mandala you can alleviate all the stresses of the day and enjoy true relaxation. Listed below a few of Amazon's top rated mandala coloring books. Get yourself a pack of fine-tip markers or colored pencils, grab a book and enjoy.

  1. I love these books! I'm actually a huge fan of coloring. Doing creative projects really takes my mind off stressful things, so coloring is perfect. I usually steal one of the kids, but now I can have my own!

  2. I love coloring. It's so relaxing. My kids think it's strange but they'll understand when they grow up. Thanks for the link!

  3. I have crayons, map pencils, and different colored pens at my desk. My coworkers and boss makes fun of me for having them in my desk. But when we hit those stressful weeks and there's just so much to do, I pull out my colored writing utensils and get more stuff done. Apparently they're able to tell my mood for the day by what color I write with.
