This is one of my favorite stove top fragrances to make. I like to put it on the stove when the kiddos are being way too rowdy and my patience is running short. It makes me fool calm and groovy and the kids settle down a bit too! No joke! The great thing about this concoction is it's affordable and easy to make. You probably already have everything you need to make this so gather your ingredients and prepare yourself for the smell of awesome.
▲▲INGREDIENTS▲▲
2 cups of water
1/3 teaspoon of lavender oil (32 drops)
1.5 tablespoons of vanilla extract
(2 tablespoons if you're using imitation vanilla)
▲▲HOW TO▲▲
Combine water, lavender oil and vanilla extract into a small saucepan
Bring to a rolling boil on a stove top and allow mixture to boil for 2-3 minutes - just long enough to fill your space with the aroma instantly
Turn the heat down to its lowest setting and chillax.
The mixture will begin to evaporate to half its contents after about thirty minutes.
Simply add more water to the pan. Repeat this until you've had your feel.
SAFETY WARNING: Do not forget about your fragrance on the stove! It will evaporate completely in about and hour and can damage your pans - or worse - so you might want to set a timer to reminder yourself to check on the mixture or to turn the stove off completely.
